how do i tell what generation i have

really sorry if this has been asked before, but i didnt find anything in the search function (probably cause everyone knows what i means lol)

but i keep seeing you guys talking about gen3, gen4 and so on and so on,

how do i tell what i have, is it the year???

i have a 95 camry

1.1. What are all the generations of the Camry?

Gen1 = 83-86
Gen2 = 87-91
Gen3 = 92-96
Gen4 = 97-01
Gen5 = 02-06

Half generations (or mid years) are usually the last two years and are made obvious by minor body and mechanical improvements.

Full generations (aka model year) are usually 5 year spans. Differences are made obvious by a full body change and, but not always, major mechanical changes.
