It doesn't really make too much sense... what the diagram is demonstrating is just the different spring purge heights... it never mentioned about the higher spring rates on aftermarket springs or more dampening from aftermerket struts. The coilover doesn't necessarily retain "stock" ride quality.. if the coilover is being compressed as the same rate as the stock ones (without a higher spring rate and higher dampening), it would just scrape everything under the car!

coil over?? no chance... bad ride esp with stock struts.. which btw bounces much much softer than after market so it will feel so bouncy on that car.. ur cornering may improve by a bit but it would be better on better struts...

if its a true coilover system, then the ride quality would be next to stock. generally on a true system you can adjust everything (height, dampening, rebound.. etc). on your everyday coilover sleeves (ground control, vis, others) which is just a coilover sleeve with a spring, the ride quality is much harsher, because they manufacture the spring to be much stiffer. if you get a real coilover system (over $1000) you can slam the car and still have good ride quality, just because of the way they are made. you buy a system in which the strut is manufactured together with the spring... hence coilovers
