As subject said.
I have a gen 4 and would love to get some nice looking projectors on there.
I saw a civic with projectors today and it made the car look totally different.
nope.
although there are people here at TN that have made projectors for their gen3s, but none yet for our gen4. I dunno how it would work anyway without alot of extra wiring for a seperate beam.
i suppose if you wanted to you could crack open the housing and get some kinda tint spray of your color and spray it, but it would probably mess up your luminosity
I am willing to to do some of the projector conversions for Gen4's, but I would need to take a look at the room behind the headlight in the engin bay (I have to see the freeplay between and inside the headlight). Basically, I can retrofit projectors in most type of headlights...but it will be my first time doing so though. Recently, I just put a set of projectors into my Acura 1.6EL and it was a complete success.

That sounds awesome, I would be willing to pay whatever you need (reasonably) for that purplish look. It was awesome.
I don't know too much about the dual beam, but I have aftermarket lights in my car, and it works for both normal and high beam. It sucks that my corner lights don't match my bluish headlight color though.
What were you thinking in terms of projectors tony?

Now that would be an issue... the fact that if I get the projectors in, you will only get lowbeams. I don't think there will be enough room to put dual beams, and the fact that the wiring will be pretty messy.
Now I have to reconsider this conversion...it will be a hazard to drive without the highbeams. What about the 2000 Camry headlights? I heard they are dual beam?

Hey fellas, I had concerns about dual beams as well. Don't forget that early Gen4s ('97-'99) use H4 bulbs only. Whereas, later Gen4 ('00 & '01) use 9006 and 9005.
Would rewiring be an issue to convert from H4 to accept 9006 and 9005?
Tony, was the EL originaly H4?

Hey Phi, yeah the EL was H4, but as you can see in the pics, I added an extra light as highbeams. BTW, it wasn't a success... the light doesn't light up anythig...the only purpose is to flash other drivers only.

-Gen4 ('97-'99) with H4 can be converted but you'd lose your hi-beams and the wires might be a little messy.
-newer Gen4 ('00-'01) with 9005 and 9006 are do-able without any problems provided there is sufficient room for the projector housings.
Am I overlooking anything besides the fact the you charge too much
later gen4s could get the front end off a 00-01 for the headlights and corners, just bolt it on. thats about all they changed in that year was the shape. i bet it mounts in the same place.
I wish it was that easy. Unfortunetly, be the looks of it, the later Gen4 headlights are actually slightly larger. As a result, you can't just swap them

Do I hear a 2001 frontend conversion coming Phi?
