Hood/Bonnet won't open

Hi all,

My friend's '96 camry has a bonnet (hood) which won't open. He thinks the cable has snapped and can't find a way to open it. Any suggestions.

if you are sure its broken, you can hope it broke at the interior handle side, and not under the hood.

if it broke in the inside of the car, you can find the cable and just pull it with some pliers or something to get it open and fix it. that is if it broke close enough to reach. otherwise....I havent a clue how you would get it open.

worst come to worst, cut the grill and just pull on the latch from there

have a 1999 solara the hood lock is broken can anyone tell me how to get into the hood
