My 98 LE V-6 seems to top out at 130. What is weird is that it doesn't fall on its face like most limited(governed) cars when they hit the limited speed, it just quits gaining speed. I don't recall the RPM but feel pretty sure that it wasn't redlined.
I know I verred from your question a little bit but maybe you can forgive me.
i hit 210kph in my 3vz auto before running out of road

Car and Driver Magazine, September 1994, in their "Family Haulers" article rates the generation 3 I4 camry DX at a top speed of 116 mph, 130 bhp, 0-60 in 10.7 seconds, and a quarter mile time of 18.1 seconds @ 76 mph.
The February 1994 issue rates the generation 3 Camry SE Coupe V-6 at a top speed of 136 mph, 188 bhp, 0-60 in 8.0 seconds, and a quarter mile time of 16.2 seconds @ 87 mph.
Hit 105 with my '92 LE I4 going down a hill with 170k miles on it last year . Prolly was not the best thing to do, lol. Wonder what my New '96 V6 will do........

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
Mine hits 120 mph @ about 4600 rpm and just stops accelerating,
but still holds speed.
Where most GM or Ford cars I have driven, the fuel totally cuts off and you drop about 5 mph or more when you hit that certain gov. speed.

It depends on what engine you have.
3vz-fe ECU's have no limiter. If you happen to have one, you should be good for atleast 130mph/209kph. I think the engine runs out of huff @ 135mph/217kph on the camry.
3vz-fe ES 300's will eventually wind their way up to 140mph if the engine is in great shape, despite being a couple hundred pounds heavier, and having only slightly more power in the engine at best. It takes more than a few miles to reach that speed also.
Can someone (like Tony) chime in on when the 1mz-fe decides to cut fuel?
I know every 1mz-fe ES 300 fuel cut I've heard falls between 120mph/193kph and 125mph/201kph. The fastest I've ever heard of someone driving a 1mz-fe ES 300 was 127mph.
In other words, if you have a '94+ 1mz-fe I have no idea where you're cut is, but it's more than likely less than 130mph/209kph.
