Question Camry Lights

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone know where the fuse's are located for the high beams on a 1990 Camry LE V6. Might I add the wiring harness is from an '88. My car caught fire last year and I replaced it with the an '88 harness. The cars starts without a problem, but the high beams don't come on, and I'm thinking it is the fuse. The wiring diagram says there is one for each beam, but it doesn't give me the location. Please help if you can. Thanks in advance.

It is possible both headlights have bad high beam elements.

According to the wiring diagram I have, the high and low beam are on the same fuse and the low/high beam is swiched though the ground. So the positive side of the circuit is the common for the headlights. High beam should be on a red wire with a blue stripe. If you have a circuit tester available try this: The Red on the left side or the Red with Yellow stripe should be hot all the time, when the light switch is on. If you ground the Red with White stripe wire the Low beams should come on. If you ground the Red with Blue stripe the High beams should come on. (This should be done with something that has a load on it to prevent a short circuit)

If both tests work you have a problem either with the switch or with the wiring in between.
