Thumbs up got rid of my crappy antenna today... put in the S2k.. PICS

so the little plastic gear in the antenna's motor wore out finally in my gen 3.5, so I got an antenna for the S2000 from eb@y and put it in today after work... i was suprised how dayam easy it was! 20-30 min job, and it works well.
my roomie said its "cute".. dayam i ate that word, especially when its about my car!

anyways, easy job, the amplified antenna was about $30 shipped... i think this was the easiest camry "mod" ive done so far!

from the ebay pic:

Here's what it looked like in all its uh.. glory..

the antenna motor intact:

looks like a fishing reel doesnt it?

new antenna in, it kinda sticks out a lil, not sure if i like that

Finished product:

you like? if anyone has any questions lemme know!

Just read the DIY for it. It says you need,

Here's the deal:
1. S2000 antenna - PN 39151-S2H-E01, $34.26
2. Celica sub-antenna (includes bracket) - PN 86309-20300, 35.60
3. Celica antenna nut - PN 86396-20030, $15

Did you need all that?

Slick.
It looks way cool.
How is the reception?
I was thinking of shaving but I am warm to this mod.
Not big on the stock rod & reel either.

Looks hot the way its slanted backward. Almost makes the car look like its in motion.

I love to do that to my car, but I don't have an antenna. Suppose to be in the back window itself. I wouldn't know how to put one of those on anyway
