trouble codes...

hey everyone, im having some trouble with my 1998 camry le V6. The check engine light came on and i pulled the code and the only code comes up is P0446. This has been happening for about a year now. I checked the VSV to the evap system and the connecting is good with the correct voltage, I tried tightening the gas cap everytime now and it still comes up after about a couple days to a few weeks of driving. Does anyone have the similar problem? I heard there is a recall or something, is it true? Im pretty stuck cause I dont know where to start. Thanks for the help and advice.

Here's a link to most/all of the OBDII codes OBDII codes

The suspected problematic bypass valve DeeKay is talking about has been discussed many times in the past. Try doing a keyword search using VSV in the camry section.

There was a TSB issued but unfortunately most of them convienently fail soon after the warranty does. There supposedly is an extended warranty on this "emmission control device". I'm having a hard time getting my Canadian dealer to honour this US warranty. My battle continues The service manager even admitted to em that he sees at least on vehicle a week for this issue
