Adding footwell lights

I have a 99 Camry Le (4 cyc). I want to add footwell lights and connect them to the dome light. Where can I tap the circuit for the dome light?

The circuit should be the same one as the door valet lights are on. If Toyota has kept the color of the wires the same your interior lights should be on a Red wire. I've always thought pillar lights in the back pillars would be a nice touch too.

On my 00 Corolla there is a 2 wire cable running up the drivers side A pillar (cover pulls right off easily) It contains the wires that run up to the dome lamp and you could tie lamps into these wires.

Go easy on the current draw ! ( 1 or 2 small bulbs if driven direct )

Yes, I want to add some lights myself. I used those lines and wired an LED to light the ignition cylinder. Looks great !!

I am planning to hook up 2 neon bars, one per front footwell. I guess I may need to put a relay.

I was thinking of lighting up the rear foot wells too, from under the driver and front passenger seat.

yeah, i think al you have to do it tap into that little red light on the door, either runnig the wire all the way to the light or tapping into the fuse should work too
