Suspension Upgrade Question

First off I would like to say that I have read the FAQ and searched for answers.

Alright, I would like to upgrade the suspension in my 91 camry. I checked Nopi Online and they have only INTRAX springs, and that is fine. The problem I have run into is that Nopi Online sells KYB struts for my car, but should I get the sealed or servicable struts? In the FAQ it says you can only use tociko inserts.

And a second question, will I need to upgrade the strut mounts? Or boots?

Serviceable are cartridges. They'll only work if your stock struts are serviceable/non-sealed.

Sealed = complete strut. They'll work for either (sealed or non-sealed).

You need to look at your stock struts and see if their sealed (welded shut) or serviceable (has a nut that threads into the top of the strut housing).

Theres pics in the Camry faq.

Tokicos for gen 2 Camrys only come as cartridges.

After doing mine, if the dollar amount is neglible, go for the complete strut instead of the the cartridges. You will have a much easier, quicker, cleaner and better looking install.

Thank you 88LE for clearing that up!

And thanks for the advice amerikim!

I guess I have another question also, Whiteline sells the rear sway-bar for $130 but the 'bushings' are also $130, so do I need the bushings to install the sway-bar?

^ The swaybar comes with bushings (polyurethane).

They also sell a complete bushing kit for gen 2 Camrys. Thats the bushings your talking about for $130.
