Angry Can't pry DS axel out of transaxel!

I am changing the clutch in my 96 5SFE. Can't seem to be able to pry out the drivers side axel out of the dif. How much pressure do you need to exert to get it to slip out? Don't want to break anything. I have the book and it says to pry it out with a pry bar. I used all my strength with a 2 foot crow bar and it won't budge. Help!

It comes out ez,, when u pry, u kinda need a hit it with a quick snap... there is a lip on the axel, put the tip of the pry bar there a snap against the trans case.... however if you still cant get , unbolt the lower control arm and leave the axel in the trans.
