...if you just take out the stock airbox and replace it with a cone filter, you will lose the low-end no matter what cuz your car is sucking the hot air from the engine.

hot air = less density = lose low-end power

I got a question, if you put it under the headlight, the water can go into the filter easily, don't that have a problem??

The "intake + water" thing is debatable.

Some say they got no problem it.

But it really depends which city you live in (or what kind of weather you'll find in your city.)

Personally I wouldn't put the filter too close to the ground so not too much water will splash into it. And snow is another thing to for us worry about...

PS: I say "proper" because there are lots of people misinterpret the term "CAI".

Yes they will, but headers and exhaust will give you more gain on high-end.

Unless you you're freeing up the whole breathing part of your car (CAI+headers+catback/exhaust), it's hard to notice how much you've gain/lose.

And of course you can always dyno your car to see if the parts that you bought did help out or not.

But I mean you got to think about what you need to sacrifice to gain what you want. Just like suspension, if you want better handling, you need to lose the comfort.

I am wondering if there is any increase, I use the stock air box but change the K&N performance filter.

that's a way to prevent hot air ~!
hehe

It will give you 1-2hp MAX, because the stock intake tubings are very restrictive.

Best way: retain the stock airbox while u redo the intake tubing from throttlebody to the airbox and from the airbox to the bumper.
