Back Door Lock Malfunction

All right guys. My Dad's gen 5 Camry has a locking problem on his back door on the driver's side. It won't lock when you press the lock button. All other three doors lock, but that door won't. Do you guys know the problem and know how to fix it? I want to fix it so that my dad won't have to spend a large sum of money just to fix one lock. BTW, is it under warranty? If it is, I'll just send it to the dealers to deal with it. Thanks a bunch.

if it is a gen5, should be relatively new, you can always swing by the dealer and see what is up, they should not charge you anything for a basic question...
btw that is like the funniest thread title... "Back Door Malfunction"

poop....i got a g5 anything wrong wit it they fix it, even if its a rattle in the dash...
