D2 Coilover Installed.... *PICS*

Well its been raining like piss all weekend and finally cleared up for a moment and wanted to give you all an update on my impressions of the D2 coilovers.

At 13kg F / 9kg R the ride on these are amazing. Quality is superb in and out. Ride hieght is what most Camry owners are exactly looking for, and is fairly easy to adjust to meet your needs. I could even tuck in my rims if I wanted but the only thing that is stopping me from doing so is that my rims are 18x8.5 w/ a 45 offset. Anyway, my settings now are at setting #6 two turns below max stiffness on all 4 dampers which is enough for me to gain little to no body roll turns but, again I havent pushed it much since the roads are slick. I still have not yet played around with the settings too much just yet because the roads are still sliick.....But for the money this is one of my best investments and I'm happy.....IMHO for those of you who skipped out on the first groupbuy I'd jump on the second one because these are definately worth the money!

Here's some installed pics:

BTW I took off the shiny metal thing that wraps around the sleeve because I didnt see the use of it besides being in the way when I turn.

Adjustable Camber Plates

This is the car on stands:

Done:

Bye Bye vis sleeves!

BTW, for you guys who installed your D2's, what is this wrench looking thing for? I absolutely have no clue what it does or anything.

Cool

Looks great! I hope the road dries out for you soon enough to suit your tastes. When it does dry out, I'm intrested to know how they handle bumps while cornering. Does it upset the car a lot?

Yeah I havent had a chance to do much yet. Handling on bumps are easier than what I had on before with the vis crud/tokico crud. Theres not really a need to slant on bumps but you do have to slow down just for the sake of these being brand new and all.

I think you can manage to do so with about 1/2" from ground to front frame. I wouldnt suggest it unless its for show. We had trouble putting the car on the ramp for alignment with this hieght already.
