Right...

That would only be a wrapped piece of carbon fiber over some metal.

Cool

arcasmachineracing is exactly right. Ya can't use Epoxy on an exhaust. You cure epoxy via heat unfortunately it also uncures by heat. It would simply melt on an exhaust.

Yup, the chemical reation in the epoxy can create a lot of heat. I actually caught a wood crate/newspaper on fire the other day when I had a batch of faster drying epoxy mixed up for me. Gotta watch that stuff!

But most of the time, the carbon fiber/epoxy seems to do fairly well in hot situations. But when the tempature is making metal red hot, (think about a turbo downpipe, header, etc...) the carbon fiber/epoxy is not going to take it.

I think he was meaning just a muffler tip, which sometimes is made out of carbon fiber:

Civics sounds nice when you mod it nicely. It has a nice pitch to it. Not like those riced up exhaust where they only aim for loud farts. Seriously, I like the S2000 low exhaust growl. Sexy. My mom's FX35 stock exhaust is louder than any riced up civics I've seen so far.

Cool

I love epoxy, it formers a perfect molecule. I get what you mean arcasmachineracing.

To each, his own.

I'm sorry I just don't get this carbon fiber and the entire JDM fad thing. I mean it was cool when I was in highschool for a year or two, then the fad passed.

Exactly. Most exhaust parts on ebay are cheap knock-offs.
The real ones are just being sold at dealer price.
