Question camry idles low and occasionally stalls!!

i have a '93 camry v6 and it is idleing at like only 400-500 rpms. it drives fine when i am actually driving the car and at all speeds. if the car isn't warm it will usually stall out when in park or neutral. i have even driven it on the express ways and does fine when i punch it. i tried some gas treatments, but it is still doing it.

i was thinking of replacing the fuel filter cuz im not sure the last time it was done (it was my grandpa's car). i am mechanically illiterate, so where is the fuel filter located? how do i change it?
is this even the right thing to do?

i am a college student and want to avoid taking it to the shop if i can fix it myself. what do you think the problem is and can anyone help please??????

you may also want to check the temperature sensor in your intake, i did not hook mine up to my CAI awhile ago thinking it would have no effect and my idle rpm would be abnormally low..

Another problem could be your idle air control valve.

Could be the IAC, or IAT like above and if you dont know when the FF was changed than that is a good idea to do anyway. Is the check engine light on?

Clean the AIC. Search this site for procedure. Cleaning the IAC won't hurt. Good luck.
