My car needs lowering bad. MY dad asked me today when i was going to get some springs so i was going to ask you guys for advice. I believe my SE is supposed to have some kind of sport struts (i could be wrong) but my dad said i might not want to get new shock/struts yet because i would not want a very STIFF ride. QUESTION: What are the best springs to get for like a 2" front drop and a 1.5" back drop (eibach? tokico?). And if i bought just springs and my ride was to bouncy could i get shocks/struts later and what would the best kind be (tokico?), not necesarily the most$$.
Thanks a lot.
BTW my 7 year old suspension is still very good.

yeah... i dont think u'll have problems withit being too boucy... cuz your struts arent that old...
with my 89... i got standard struts and the ride is as boucy as hell...
so maybe as your struts get older and gets bouncier u might need to get some performance ones...

mmm.... sexy, sexy....
The only springs I'm aware of that will give you the drop you're interested in (2" are Sprints and HR Euro Spec (Blau). Your other choice, but not quite a low incl. Eibach, Intrax and HR Amer spec.
As for the struts, 7 yrs isn't bad. But consider the labour cost when you do decide to replace them down the road. Why not do it all at once and save a few bucks. Your choices here incl. Tokicos and Bilstiens (aka TRD)
still selling my TRD strut inserts if u want them let me know (brand new and im selling them cheap i need to get rid of them!! email me up if u're interested! thnx)
Installing the springs etc would not be a problem for me. My dad rebuilds old cars and stuff (i will post some pics on my camry site when i get it up) and we could install them easy. what do the Sprint springs go for, about 200 US?
Alex yours does not scrape on the underside of the car or inside the wheel well does it. i dont have a body kit so i really dont have to worry about bumpers scraping
nope, it only scraped when i went down a steep driveway or something. other then that i was fine, just had to be a little bit more careful.....oh and the wheels did not rub either
