Rpm @ 100Km/h
I have a quick question about the speedometer related to the Rpm.I have noticed that when I drive at 100Km/h my Rpm stays at 2300-2400.When I drive at 130-140 Km/h my rpm goes to 3000-3100.
Does anyone ever look at the speedometer and the RPm driving at 100Km/h?
I want to know the difference in RPm cruising at 100Km/h between I4 and V6 of 2001 Camry. I asked my friend about the Rpm at 100Km/h.He has Prelude 99 and his RPm goes to 3000 at 100 Km/h at top gear which is 4.
I have also noticed that the gear changes 5-times when my shifter is at D.The transmission hits to 5th gear when I drive above 70-80 Km/h.I don't understand how come a 4-spped automatic has 5 gears at D.The newer Camry(2004, I4) has 5 speed automatic. What does 4-speed and 5-speed automatic mean?
