IS300 steering wheel

Just wondering, anyone here have an IS300 steering wheel on their car? Excluding those who actually drive an IS300 of course.

If not, can someone tell me if it's possible to install an IS300 steering wheel w/airbag on a 2001 Solara?

Thanks a lot!

I'm guessing since they are the same platform, that they would have the same setup. You should be able to do it. But you might need to get a different hub to match it.

Do you really want to pay $400+ for a steering wheel that say Lexus on it?

Well, it's smaller and sportier. Smaller diameter will make the steering response better, heavier, and more stable at high speed right? My steering wheel just feels too damn light and unstable, so that's why I'm thinking of changing it. If there's any other way to do it without changing the wheel of course I'd try, but I don't think there's any other way.

get a Nardi tri spoke drift steeringwheel and hub for around 350-400USD fitted. those wheels are extremely small. there are masses of aftermarket wheels that you can have fitted for 200 or so too.

But no aftermarket wheel come with an airbag right? I'm not about to give up the airbag on my daily driver yet.

yeah, Jeff (SpectraBlueCam on the forum) has an authentic TRD steering wheel w/ airbag in his 3rd gen camry, so it should fit the Solara as well.
