Just got an 05 Camry SE with 3.3L engine. Anyone supercharged this model yet, or have some ideas? I live in Atlanta, let me know if you've had a good experience with a local shop.
Thanks -
Russell
just a correction, the 3MZ has a single throttle body, same as the 1MZ with VVT-I in the 03 camry.
also, from what ive read on other posts about the trd supercharger on an 02 1MZ is that it fit onto the engine, there was just a lot of problems elsewhere in the ecu and the electronic boost control. do a search and you might find it
In that case, with all due respect, do a bit...ok, A LOT of research. Otherwise, you'll end up wasting your time and money. In the meantime, you can start looking for a second job to fund the project
It's not a slow car. Just save up a bunch of money and buy the TT kit when/if it comes out. And do alot of searching on this site. If you got the money it can be a fast car. But it's not like a civic where you have 10 different turbo kits out there for your car.
Originally posted by 05SE TT = twin turbo? I don't want to do any research. I just want a fast car. Shoulda bought a 350 or a Supra, right?
You said it yourself.
Why in the world did you buy a Camry if you wanted a fast car?
And don't say 4 doors and to lug the family around cuz if you wanted that, there are plenty of cars that do that (STi, Evo, SRT-4 etc). If price was the concern, then I don't see how Supercharging is a financially responsible investment...
