Question Oil Filter

So oil change time is comming up in buddy camry. I am going to get Mobil 1 synthetic and I also want a good oil filter. Not any of this crap Fram stuff or something. I have heard good things about the stock OEM oil filters from Toyota being good. So I looked at some prices and such.

I can get an OEM one for about $6 online(or 2 for 10). But I stumbled upon 2 other filters that struck my eye. The Toyota TRD Performance oil filter and the K&N performance Gold Filter. Now both are about twice as expensive as the OEM oil filter and I was wondering if they were any better and worth the money. The TRD is about $15 and the K&N is about $13.

Oh, and do I need to get a new oil drain plug gasket by any chance? If so do I need the 18mm or 12mm one?
TIA!

for stock applicaitons proably not, just get a cheap oem or oem replacement. the k&n could be viable if you like how you can use a spanner to take it off. youll be replacing it soon again so dont waste money, unless you want to say "oo i got TRD parts".

no need for new drain plug washer, just dont loose the current one.

Purolator Pure Ones are very nice, they're available from Pep Boys for about $5-6. K&N's are nice, spend the money if you want to but you don't need to spend that much.

And get the Mobil 1 from Wal Mart. The 5 quart containers are $19.00, you can't beat that. And it's so easy to put the old oil back in the 5 quart container to dispose of.

i use mobil 1 filter, which is about $11. Them and amsoil filters are supposely the best in terms of filtering and oil flow.
