Please! Temp. Ctrl Knob doesn't wrk. How to remove panel?
I tried pulling the guage plate off, but it wouldn't come off around the top of the stereo area. Is there a special way to take it off. If I can't take it off, where can I go to get it removed, w/o them breakin it. How can I fix this Temp. Control Knob problem? I'm freezin, no heat!
try to follow the cables from your knob and change it manually, there should be one in the engine compartment and possibly one...down by your gas peddle ish...
It's a 92 V6 SE Camry. The Red/Blue Temperature knob makes a cracking noise when I turn it. I tried switching the directional knob to the temperature knob, but it didn't work.
Something is broken inside. It makes a broken craking/clicking sound when I turn it, It's stuck on cold.
i had that same problem, i had to replace the whole control system. for now though you can change it manually, the cable for the temp is in then engin, rite by the firewall, on the driver side. AND there is another cable. near the bottom of the center pannel, about where your ankle is on the driver side. thatll get you some hot air in there...
ok heres what i got. im pretty sure the directions are right...mine is set in the center rite now so im not all that sure...and yes i know my engine is dirty, ill clean it some day...
On most toyotas there is a thing that looks damn close to that on the firewall in the engine bay. According to toyota, it's official name is a Heater VSV.
