Ive got ERROR CODES!! Help!

Ok...i checked my error codes wit the CEL.
This is what it retrieved:

Code 12 - RPM Signal - No "NE" or "G" signal to ECU within 2 seconds after engine has been cranked.
Code 24 - Intake Air Temp Sensor Signal - Open or Short Circuit in IAS signal (THA)
Code 31 - Air Flow Meter Signal - Open circuit in VC signal or short btw VS & E2 when idle contacts closed.
Code 41 - Throttle Position Sensor Signal - Open or Short circuit in TPS Signal.

Can anyone help me in what I should do about these?? It seems the last 3 are replaceable sensors..the first one tho.. im not sure about.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanx.

12 = distributor or ecu

24 and 31 = AFM

41 = TPS

Thanx 88LE. Still though..i need info on what to do about these. Lets say we look a code 41..TPS. Should i just replace it?? Same with the AFM?

Can u explain what these codes mean in a little more english. I understand what the charts says...but in english what is it sayn is wrong and what to do?

Are these serious warnings?

The car hasn't been running well for a couple of weeks now..so maybe these are the causes.

Thanx.

You can check the AFM and TPS for resistance.

You can also check for resistance at the ecu.

ECU schematics

Troubleshooting info

Plugs
---------

All the diagrams are for a SV21/SV25 (3S-FE). You have a VZV21 (2VZ-FE), but you can use the diagrams and see if anything crosses over to your car.

How to use the diagrams
----------------------------------

Lets say you wanted to check the AFM.

Looking at the troubleshooting info you'll see that the plug for the AFM is "H".

You then look at the "plug" diagrams and you'll the pinout for "H".

So you pull the plug for the AFM and measure the resistance at the AFM based on whats given in the troubleshooting info.

Thankyou very much 88LE. Much appreciated.

One quick question.
In the diagrams where is specifies the resistance btw certain points, i dont understand one of its conventions.

For example
I understand: (H) 1-2 : 13.8ohms ... etc etc
That would be..on connector H (AFM) btw points 1 and 2, resistance should be 13.8 ohms.

I dont understand: (K) 1- (K) 4: 3-7kOhms.

Btw wat points is this talking about??
Pin 1 to Pin 4 of K connector??

Is weird because i wouldve thought that would be represented as (K) 1-4 : 3-7Kohms.

Thanx.

Yup, pin 1 to pin 4 on plug K.

Its just labeled weird.

You'll notice the same thing for the R, S, and T plugs.
