this sucks-my car is leaking coolant...

i went to a automotive reapair shop today to finally get to check why smoke comes out of my hood when im not even overheating...so they pressure test it with the pump to the radiotor...and they found out that it was leaking coolant, so this explains why i have been loosing coolant and adding coolant every 3 days, due to coolant leak...it is leaking on the lower intake gasket manifold...they said that the gasket needs to be change, so i get an estimate which comes out to 310$...

this is the description:
R+R lower intake gasket set with the o-rings = $107.32
antifreeze = $9.95
labor = 192$

so i took, i think that 310$ is a fair price, plus all the work they have to do like taking of basically the top part of my motor...

do you all think this is a fair price? or i could've found somewhere else better?

Cool

It's about right. They're overcharging you on gaskets by about $40 tho, but unless you're going to get on ebay and buy the entire engine gasket set for the same price it won't matter.

The price is fair and unless you just want to do this weekend project yourself, you're not going to save any money shopping around. (for the most part)

If it has not over- heated you should be fine. The labor looks quite cheap to me. I would say that is well within reason.

I suspect that is not Toyota Coolant....that shit costs more than beer, closer to well vodka.

Price wise, looks like 3-4 hours of labor and full sticker on gasket.
I think it's slightly expensive.

This is one I will be trying myself this summer along with valve cover gaskets.
