I know this question has been asked before. most of you know that i am installing a blackwidow rear bumper on my 97 5sfe. i am looking into exhausts since i keep getting pulled over for the one that is on my car. witch i dont beleave the reason is the muffler but i think its becouse i am a young male. anyways, what do u guys think about it? is there any real facts saying that i am going to gain or have a loss of power? if you guys could help me out. and what kind of style muffler can i get that is street legal? can i get any muffler with a silencer and get away with it? i want more of a stock sound, but with the rear bumper the stocker looks kind of weak. Thanks Everyone.....
wonder why you got pulled over, but I asked that question before. All of them said that will be fine as long as it's a Y set up, no performance will gain or loss. I asked a exhaust shop guy, and he tried to charge me for $600 with 2 reactive mufflers and cat back setup. I don't know about the sound, since I didn't get the setup yet.
thats what i am wondering..... i like the look of the dual, but if it costs me mpg and power then i wont do it. thanks steve i will talk to my local shop see what there priceing is.
long story short- waste of money really....it'll jsut weigh down your car....BUT it'll look good tho....
and it'll be fine - just use something along the lines of 2.25" piping up to a y-pipe and then split into two 2" pipes into either resonators or mufflers...
I say go mufflers, cuz resonators are the cheap way out and don't look as good

i dont care how fast my car is, its an I4, im mainly going for looks, more of like chill car, im planning on installing a Tv, playstation and redoing all the factory speakers. and seating. somthing were its really comfortable and nice to take rides in
yeah i will post alot of pics, everything should be going on spring, since winter there is no point to install and paint a kit with that kind of weather i have over here.
Ive got a dual exhaust on my V6. Unfortunately, because of height restrictions, i cant put a true dual system on. So, ive got a hi flow system to the back of the tank where it splits into the do mufflers. Apart from a definate change in sound, there was no gain watsover. Pure looks really.

nothing wrong with dual exhaust, just for looks though I had massive amounts of backpressure until I got the high flow cat. converter, now there isn't really any at all. Make sure you get it done right though, my first dual catback was ran uneven and more air would come out one side, but now the air flow is the same.
