Lightbulb custom dome light

as i've seen in some of the more lexury cars, most of the dome lights dim after the door closes, the light slowly dims out. IS there anyway to do this on a Gen4 camry? Thanks=]

I think I may take candy apple red spray paint and spray the dome light cover. Any suggestions from anyone would be swell.

If you're handy with electronics, you can make your own: http://www.electronic-circuits-diagr...carsckt3.shtml

I plan on doing this sometime during the winter, and also adding theater lights in the rear along with map lights in the front. But only if it can be done tastefully. That single dome light just doesn't do it for me.

I look over the wiring diagram and from the look of it the headliner would have to be removed. Because the control device switches both the hot 12v and the ground. If they haven't changed the way they make cars the ground would be grounded right at the dome light. So there would be nothing to tap into going up the door post.

It is possible that you could use the exsisting hot lead to pull 2 new wires in and ground the dome light remotely.
