80W 9006 bulbs

I did a search for this but didn't find anything. All I found was how to make a 65W 9005 bulb work in a 9006 recepticle.

Hella makes 80W 9006 bulbs. You can buy them at the link below for $10.25 US each.

Anyone else have experience with these?

Cool

70w will melt the harnasses of every Toyota on the market.

If you want more light than rebasing a silverstart can get you buy some HID's with an appropriate HID legal projector.

"70 W will melt" etc...

That is a little extreme, I know quite a few people who are running 'racing only' 80/100 W in street applications. They have been doing it for years. Just do a search of sites that sell for desert or track racing.

I personally believe in directed light, like optics. Control is better then mass dispersion. IMHO.

LOL- okay I'll clarify.
I mean't directly through a shaped lens cleanly vs bouncing back off a reflector through a patterned lense.

How much do you drive your car with the low's on? The "melting" of the harness only depends on how long you have your lights on over time, but I can tell you, that I've made fun of quite a few kids with rice-rockets that have to shell out $$$ for new wiring harnesses 'cause those APC "hyperwhite" bulbs just looked so damn cool.
