headlight bulb question

Hi,
Tried to do the 9005 to 9006 sylvania silverstar conversion on my 98 I4 camry but I noticed that it won't work on gen 4, at least on mine, it has different bulbs, it has the high and low on the same bulb. Any recomendation on my particular case to make it brighter?

thanks

hey hclee25

not sure if you got the right bulbs but it should work fine on a gen 4 camry. i have a 2000 camry (gen 4.5) and the conversion worked fine. did you actually do the modification to the actual bulbs? or just try to put a 9005 bulb into the 9006 socket w/o any modification?
not trying to sound like a jerk, but I have to ask...since you didn't tell us much in your post

here is a link w/ pics to mod the 9005 bulbs... do a search for it too...alot has been said about this.

ps i know the link is from a bmw forum, but the steps to mod it are the same...good luck dude

gen4, 97-99 use h4/9003 bulb. Gen4.5 00-01 use 9006 for lowbeam, 9005 for highbeam.

My gen4 has the 9003 bulb as itzsteven said, my question was if there is another bulb that can make the gen4 light brighter, what I have right now is the sylvania silverstar
My gen 3 has the 9006 and already did the convertion, it really made a big difference.

Thanx for your help
