hey guys, i was just at the gas station flling my tank for the weekend (it was half full) in my 94 i4 camry and I made a dumb mistake. I noticed gas seemed very expensive but hey, it always is these days. i topped it off and got in my car. When i glanced at the pump i realized I had put in premium! doh! The pumps usually have regular first on the left but this station had it on the right, Im such a dumbass... is this going to damage my car? how should i go about this? thanks so much for the help.
u sound like me i never put in premium, even though for the gallon it doesn't cost more, when u add up the gallons they add up. i casn't remember when i have ever put in premium in any of my vehicles.

the diesel pump is bigger so you can't easily mistaken,
but one of my friend managed to fill some diesel on his subraru legacy, he told me the car won't start up the next day he drove it,
and he took it to the shop and did some cleaning, and it worked again.
I filled up my tank one morning, left the engine running got back in and on leaving pump instantly knew something was wrong. Poor performance and limited power, crappy idle. Once I shut it off it would crank but not run I thought that I had stirred up dirt in tank. Towed it to the shop my mechanic friend called and they had a Dodge come into their shop that had diesel fuel mix from gas station I had filled up at, Turns out the tanker had put diesel into the unleaded tank. The stations insurance (finally) paid for the repairs.

Your engine most likely wouldn't run. Diesel is normal ignited by compression, not spark. So I doubt the spark would even get near what it needs to burn enough fuel to make any power. And with that, diesel fuel isn't very flamable. You can hold a match to it and it won't go up.
Sucks that you put premium in. I guess just burn it off, run some C-foam, and start back on regular again. Not much you can do.
