smog check Pass or not?

Hi

I modded my cam AFTER my last smog check and ever since then I have no clue if im able to pass smog check, Im schedule to smog check soon and I just wanna know if i can pass with flying color, cause paying 200 to let the guy pass or spending money to remove mods is a pain...especially in my wallet

Anyway heres my mods its not much but I just wanna be sure...

AEM CAI
Random Hi-flow 2.5 cat converter
2.5 in cat back piping
4in Tip dragster Exhaust

Thanks for Reply!

How radical is the cam?

How many chances do they give you in CA?

In Illinois, which is probably next in line to CA as being worst, they give you 3 chances. They will grant you a 2 year waiver if:

you show improvement from the 1st to 3rd test.
you spend $400 dollars in emissions related equipment.
car was checked out by certified mechanic.
there's other stuff I can't remember...

Someone told me to put some Heet into the gas tank when it's down to 1/4 tank to lean out the mix, if you're running rich.

kamry...when i got my smog check they didnt care about my exhaust system... so need to worry about that...they guy saw i had a short ram and 1st the guy said if i had the certificate saying that if it was carb legal and i didnt...so as long ur AEM CAI is carb legal (which i'm pretty sure it is)...you should be fine ...unless the smog checker is being a complete asss..

if you get stuck with a "Test Only" notice on your Registration renewal, take the intake off. If you get "Test and Repair" take it to Toyota and leave it on.

Also, you 5SFE owners, FYI - our blocks are listed as filling the High Emitter Profile, so you'll more than likely end up at a Test Only station.

You'll pass don't worry. If the guy says anything, at most just take off the AEM CAI that's all. Nothing to worry about. As for me, I will definitely not pass for crap, I got my headers, custom CAI....its all bad for me. Haha, I will definitely need to pay someone to get mine pass, unless someone knows someone near the bay area that can do it cheaper than 200 I'm all ears. Oh yeah I got a 94 5sfe.

The AEM intake will pass smoging wise, but it will not pass visual inspection probably. Ebay and homemade intakes will definitely not pass either one! So best advice is to change the intake back to the stock air box. Exhausts are fine unless you have headers like I do.
