UK Sorry guys more supercharger questions

Hi guys, i'm in the process of buying a supercharger for my 1mz-fe. The problem is it's off a Toyota Sienna, is it straight forward to convert the supercharger for a manual transmission as the sienna supercharger only comes in auto form.

Phil.

I bought the manual supercharger for my camry, and the boost control computer came with it. I was puzzled. I just didn't install the boost control. You should be fine not installing the boost control. I could be wrong though.

Hi guys, the sienna supercharger part no. is 00602-17620-305. The camry's is 00602-17620-304, so I would say there are both the same chargers only the part nos. are different so you can identify the model it's for. However I've been told that all you need is

Supercharger belt 00602-17620-330

Assembly, Idler plate and Pulley 00646-17620-320

Convoluted EGR tube - Auto 00602-17620-360

and this should be ok to run the supercharger on the 1mz-fe set up. Would just like someone to confirm this to me before I go ahead and buy it.

What year is your 1MZ from? If it's a 94-96, you'll need to make your EGR tube custom, since they changed the EGR setup in 97.

UK_MRV6, the fact that you've transplanted the 1MZ into your MR2, your engine is no longer oriented either as a Camry or a Sienna. However, I will confirm that the only difference between the manual and auto kits for the Camry is the EGR pipe and how the EBC is wired up (if at all). There's a site which documents what's involved in this very project. I can't find it right now. Once the search feature is up and running again, I'll PM you the info.

Fair coment, the car is abit of an oddball and I know that various sites have relevant info regarding the swap. However i have by far received more help and response from you guys on Toyota Nation than on any other forum. And it's much appreciated!!

Phil.

yeah, what mobes said... the EGR tube is the only difference. i actually looked at that sienna auction on ebay right now... it should work, you will probably just have to cut the EGR pipe that you have now and alter it slightly. it should be easy enough to do. for a master such as yourself... if you can put a 1mz in an mrdeuce, you should be able to do this with no problems. good luck with it. I am most certainly going to come to england for a ride in this bad boy once its all set to go

Thanks guys I am going to go ahead with the purchase. I can't take the credit for the engine conversion as I didn't do it myself. The guys that did it won't have any problems at all with the supercharger. It was originally planned to put a 3s-gte engine in but a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of some guys in america that had put the 1mz-fe engine in. As soon as I saw and read the info I knew this was the only swap to do.
