Unhappy Honda guy has questions...!

Hey people, dont hate because of the Honda, okay?!

My good friend drives a 2001 camry xle v6- its quite nice. So for Christmas I was going to get him something for his car. He LOVES TRD stuff and is somewhat apprehansive when it comes to other products ie: generic, aem, etc.

This being said, I want to get him a TRD cold air intake for his camry. I called the dealership and the trd rep has already left for the day so I'm turning to you all. Does trd even make an intake for this camry? If not please reccomend another good solution.

thanks for helping me- excuse the newness. If there is anything else you'd like to reccomend I get him thats trd and less than $100 please let me know; I'm open to suggestions.

I don't believe so.. http://www.trdusa.com/SearchDatabase.asp

I looked, but didn't find anything. All I found were high flow air filters.

You could get the Injen ram air intake and get the injen cold air extention like thakidd said. It was meant for the solara 99 + but I have a friend that installed it into his 97 V6 and it worked like a charm, no fitments whatsoever. If you want to get your friend something that is actually TRD then get the TRD sway bar. $150 shipped from Kinderhook Toyota, ask for Eddie Habeck.

Good Luck,
Calvin

yeah if anything, get him the injen intake. trd stuff is overpriced with not so much benefit. you wont see any benefit from the intake either... maybe a tiny bit, but not really.

we dont hate on people that drive hondas, dont worry. we try to respect anyone who has the drive to work on their cars. no matter what kind it is... BUT we do hate on ricers, so if your car is green or pink with graphics on it, please dont post pics

haha

na, no rice here. Below is my ride. I like to keep it simple and clean where possible. Anyway I'm not sure what to do about the intake. I'll look into the solara thing.
