hey guys.. i just registered to this site because i had just purchased a 92' Camry LE with 127k miles
i have the same problem.. theres a big burst of white smoke that comes out of the exhaust upon starting up..
after about a minute it settles down when the car warms up but i can still see some white smoke coming out of the exhaust but its minimal/non visible.. also.. theres a clearish liquid coming out of the exhaust.. it doesnt seem to have any colorization and when i smell it, it doesnt smell like anything..
at first i thought it was coolant(it still could be) but it didnt smell like anything or have any color.. so im thinking since its been raining lightly maybe its just consendation/dew built up in the system from all this humidity...
well, it's normal for a little water to drip out since combustion produces a little water as a byproduct but if a ton of water comes out, u need to get it checked out
wow $650
im guessing it takes around 4-5 hours to get the job done
maybe ill look in the repair manual and see if i can get a friend of mine to help me...
by the way, when taking the engine apart to replace the valve seals, is there anything else thats in the same area that can be replaced as well?
