Header/ Catback Exhaust Question

Hey guys,

Now that I have money again I'm once again hooking up my ride.

For a header I'm getting either the Rippmods or the Brospeed.

Here in lies the question. The Rippmiods comes with a cat, but the brospeed does not, HOWEVER brospeed offers a Catback performance exhuast system to go with it, where as you have to get a totally custom one made up for the Rippmods header.

So, there are two questions.

One, I assume the Brospeed is all bolt up, correct me if I'm wrong, so installation would be a breeze if I purchased the header and catback exhaust would it not? Anyone have this setup on their Gen3?

Two, Quality and performance wise, is one better then the other? I even wonder if the Rippmods is worth getting, when looking at pictures of both the Brospeed and the Rippmods they look IDENTICAL! And both are ceramic coated. Are they the same?

If they are, is the $100 price difference worth paying to get the cat? That cat would come with the Brospeed performance catback exhaust would it not? So for instalation and to save money would it be better to just get all brospeed?

And anyone out there with either header and their own catback setup please let me know what you guys think about the setups from any/every aspect.

Thanks everyone.

Top two Rippmods

Bottom one Brospeed, looks very similar

fyi, high flow cats would cost you around 100 bucks.. and a cat-back system never have a cat included with it.. hence the name cat-back

I would recommend getting a cat because the system will be REALLY REALLY loud if you don't.

I have the Brospeed headers hooked onto my 94 5sfe. They are not bolt on, instead they need some small modifications to get it to fit. My advice just get the brospeed headers and do custom piping with a high-flow cat exactly how you want.

i have the rippmods headers on my 2000 camry 5sfe. they are bascially bolt-on on a 5sfe. just need ot do welding of the pipes, etc. and yes it comes with a high flow cat. i think (not positive though) that brospeed headers require more modifications than rippmods. (anyone correct me if i'm wrong)...bec i looked into the brospeed too but seemed to be too many custom mods to make it work properly.

where as you have to get a totally custom one made up for the Rippmods header.
not sure if that's true or not. you don't need a "custom" catback exhaust system to make it work. i had the greddy evo catback on my camry first, then got the rippmods headers. they worked great together. you may have to go custom for your Gen of camry, but i don't think it's ABSOLUTELY necessary?

Thats because a turbo quits down the exhaust. The turbo itself acts as a restriction.

yeah allen, you dont experience the backpressure, cause like 88 says, the turbo provides the pressure.
