It's basically a module from JET performance. It says that'll recalibrate the air/fuel mixture, and modify the ignition curve.

Got it in my Corolla, moved it to my Celica. Got 1 sec better 0-60 on GTech Pro. Engine definitly more responsive.

Cool

Crappy... If you want a piggyback tuner, there are several ones with much more functionality than that piece of crap. Who would pay more than $150 for that ugly ass thing???

Yeah, he was probably knocking to shit before you put the chip in. All that does is richen your a/f to hell and makes your ECU read partial throttle as being full throttle and just start pouring on the gas.

Not worth it, in my opinion.
You want to get a tuned engine, get a piggyback of a standalone and do it right, don't waste money on something that barely gives a gain in stock form and will be even more insufficient the more you mod your car.

I'd like to see some proof on a real dyno.

plus...I don't know about hte ecu's for the 5sfe, but if you were to use a piggyback on a 1mz, it won't do a thing...the ecu corrects within seconds....which=useless....you have to get a standalone

Please comment with stuff you know.
It doesn't play with throttle signal at all. It tap into it but not cut and re-route it. It only change MAP/MAF signal. I have SAFC with it in series. SAFC still see throttle correctly with V-Force turn on. Running rich? At idle it show LOWER pressure with V-Force turn on. Yea SAFC reading signal after V-Force.
With my G-Tech runs, no max HP gain. Only better 0-60 time. Which can be explain as flaten HP curve below max HP.
Turbo mag dyno it but I don't think anyone trust mag dyno test.

we know that it will have no effect on the newer V6's, which this thread isnt about. in reply to the original post, youre better off spening your money elsewere, save up for some headers, or get the head polished or something that will amke real gains. afte rthat, get a decent piggyback to retune for the new hardware.

no wait i didnt answer it either. if you just purchased it, look at the instructions, then find an ecu diagram for ya engine, put the two together and if you dont have a soldering iron dont start
