headlight issues

I have replaced my stock bulbs to something brighter couple times and i have noticed the passenger side lights are weaker than the driver side. i took a dvm and tested the plugs which hooks up to the bulbs and noticed that there was no power going to the middle pin. not sure if that is why it is dim but what could b wrong with it? i was plannin on changing the plugs by just cuttin and puttin a different plug on to the stock wiring harness. got any suggestions?

Is the pin sticking out all the way? Use a pair of tweezers or pliers to pull it out to the proper length.
