As you may or maynot be aware..i am trying to mate a 3VZ 5 speed manual to my 2VZ engine. Haven't started that yet, however im searchn for some performance bits that i could use.
Im interested in the Fidanza flywheel. According to there website, they make them for the 3SFE. 5SFE and the '3.3L' motor used from 88-01 (hahahaha). Are they talking about the new 3MZ?
Will any of these flywheels fit?
And what sort of performance clutch setup would anyone suggest. Something that would be a nice grippy clutch that will work with the setup im trying to accomplish.
Thanks!!

if its says 3.3 liter, its a misprint.
88-01 V6's use the same flywheel, so thats the right one for you.
im using a SPEC stage III 6-puck sprung clutch kit... for a daily driver street car i'd recommend the stage II however. i should have gotten that one, but im not complaining with my stage III... its nice too.

if you mean engagement, it engages at roughtly the same point on the clutch pedal.
the difference is that the higher stages can handle more torque thrown at them, which is really only for highly modified engines. i honestly dont see a camry v6 throwing down enough torque to require a stage III clutch unless its running boost.
Cool thanks. I think ill go for Stage 2 then. Even with a turbo i wont be running ridiculous boost levels.
Are these parts internationally available. Im in Australia, so i need a brand thatll work with my combo and that i can get easily. SPEC was it?
PS. Is that a full clutch setup? or is that a kit to upgrade the stock clutch?

agreed with ratko completely.... he and i have the same setup, fidanza and spec stage 3 but he has 6 puck i have 3. i'd also suggest stage 2 for daily use and no more than 250hp.
Ok. Thankyou very much,
Can you tell me what clutch i would use? One for a 88 2.5L V6, or one for a 93 3L V6?
Keeping in mind that ill be mating a 93 V6 5Speed Tranny to my 2VZ V6.
And as for the flywheel, according to Ratko there all the same, so looks like thats solved!
Also, is it worth investing the $79 in a lightned version of the clutch kit from SPEC?
Thankyou for your help.

Centerforce happen to make a dual friction clutche for the 2VZ. Would anyone recommend this brand and type or go with SPEC?
Also, there doesnt seem to be a dealer of Centerforce in Australia according to the website.
But i have heard of them here, Wibbit, do you know where a local dealer is in Melbourne?

No I havnt been able to find one either.... really annoying! I'm sure if you go to some performance shops they could order it in. I always go to Genesis Racing in Blackburn.
For the daily driver (which mine is), I'm thinking maybe the dual friction one is too harsh. the Centerforce stage 1 increases holding capacity by 30%
Theres also an Exedy organic clutch, also for street use, it increases holding capacity by a claimed 59%
Both brands say that the feel will pretty much be like stock.
I just got the SPEC stage 2 clutch along with a Fidanza aluminium flywheel installed on my 97 v6 5spd Camry CE (the stocker lasted almost 136,000 miles). It works pretty good. Pedal engagement seems a little lower than stock, however this could be because of the installer, not the clutch itself. I drove nice for the first 600 miles. I'm almost at 2000 on the new clutch. Works pretty good. Flywheel helps, especially up top.
The SPEC clutch seems pretty popular with you guys, but has anyone got the Centerforce Dual Friction clutches? that has an appl. for 3vz manual
I have a Centerforce dual friction in my 89 V6.
It's a soft, but very solid engagement.
It's to my understanding from Centerforce that it's designed that way to give a good engagement without that harsh pedal feel.
Whenever this goes, I have a Clutchmasters Stage 2 clutch & flywheel upgrade standing by.
