Unhappy Car wont start: Distributor question

Hi all,
I'm new here and the car in question is not mine; but any help will be appreciated!

My step mother's 93 Camry 4-cyl wont start. It just cranks away. I checked the fuel, and its fine, but looks like the spark is either weak or not at all..

I have a feeling it's the distributor, but how can I test it (I have a voltmeter, but don't know anything about internal coil dist. Nor do I have a manual since its not my car).

Also, what years Camry can I take a distributor off of? I would presume 92-94 are the same, but what about the later cars?

TIA

Mike

Check the coil. You can measure the resistance.
