WTF is up with this shitty plastic lower timing belt cover? Heysuse h christ... Is Toyota so cheap they can't use metal???
You know, the cover with the engine's Top Dead Center markings on it for the crankshaft...
Anyways... Here's what a 40,000m Timing belt looks like after the TDC plastic timing piece distorts itself and the lower half of the entire plastic timing belt cover is ripped into the timing belt.

i ran mine to 90'000 and never had a prob.even at 197'000 the cover on my 1mz hasent changed.you have the 3vz but i know that many have reached 200'000.maybe you got a defect or something.
Na just crappy materials. From my uber CSI skills, from what was left of the plastic (it's all shreaded) It looks like it was stressed and melted. I still have no idea why the belt grabbed it in the first place.

The timing belt starts at the crank shaft,
and goes round two big spro-ckets.
But once it starts to spin really fast
Pop! Goes the be-lt.
Bah this one set a new world record! Snapped in half in less than 20 seconds!!!
Stupid son's of bitches... I told them the belt was smaller than my broken one, but noooo they said it stretched... Belts don't stretch you dumb fucks!!!
