Went and looked at rims this weekend. I am pretty sure I am going to go with the Eneki CDR9's 18 x 7.5. However I want to make sure I don't have any rubbing problems with them.

They have a 40 offset and I was hoping to go 45, but they only come in 40. With a 225/40/18 tire on them, will I have any rubbing problems ?? This is going on my 2000 solara which has the Eibach 1.6'' drop. THanks !

Those were the rims I was gonna get last Christmas but after speaking to another Solara owner with the CDR9's in 18" I changed my mind. He complained of rubbing problems. I wouldn't get them unless you're not lowered or you rolled your fenders. Hope this helped your decision.

Thanks for the advice....looks like I am back to the drawing board looking for new rims
Does anyone then know of sure if 45 offset in the 18'' x 7.5 will work with the 1.6'' drop I have ?? who out there has 18'' with a drop and has no problems ?

Hey guys. I have 18x8 rims with a +48 offset in the front and +38 in the rear. I have MAJOR rubbing problems in the rear cuz I'm totally tucked. I bearly have ANY room to put my finger in the rear fender (that sounded kinda dirty, eh? hehe). I would STRONGLY suggest something with a 35-39 offset. If you have any questions please give me a call at my shop at 800-998-6911. Ask for Yukio.

Do you mean you can't get your finger in between the wheel and the fender? If that is the case then won't a larger number offset be necessary. The larger the offset the more "sucked into" the fender the wheel will be. (this only applies to positive offset)

That's where you have to worry about wheel clearance with the strut.

I have the 17 CDR-9s on my gen 3 camry. It looks good and I don't have any problems. Also my car is dropped 1.75 inches(intrax springs).
