I drilled a hole in the firewall and ran the wire under the door sill rail area. Others (SilverStk & Elegant) said that there is an access point in the wheel well that is really good to use :???:

The Signal Pwr wire turns on your amp when the deck is on.

I'm not sure how to wire the subs. I'm sure Tmanana or the other guys might know

PS: It's general practice to run your speaker wires on the opposite side that you're running your pwr wires.

Good luck!

All I need to know is what ohm subs you have and if they are single or double voice coil. Basically there are multiple ways to hook up 2 subs to a mono out....but if you drop the ohm load too low you will fry your amp

Luc did my install and he ran the wire through the gromet in the steering colum. To the untrained eye, it still looks stock.

This site will really help you out.

http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/spkrmlti.htm

Everything depends on your sub/amps impedeance and if you are using a DVC or SVC sub.

You want this setup then but please make sure your amp can run safely at 2ohms. If not you will fry it or at the very least shorten the life of your amp.

Parallel Connection

Well definately wire them in parallel. That was a great link btw....here is the graphic I stole from that site:

Basically positive terminal on the amp to both positive terminals on the subs and the same for the negatives. Very simple. It will drop the amps load to 2ohm...pushing 300 watts RMS to those subs.

Hey Rayray....what's the brand/model of that amp? I would like to look at what the factory says is stable before I recomend anything (I am not liable for any information I exchange on this forum....he he). Just get me that and I'll be happy to give some suggestions. The only reason I say that is that many amps say they are 2 ohm stable, but that is in stereo mode, not mono...and with it being a 4 channel amp....just need to cover all bases.

Just want to make sure you are only using this amp for the subs. If so, you can bridge both the front and rear outputs, so basically imagine you will have two separate 2 channel amps bridged. Your amp says it is 2 ohm capable....but as I said a lot of amps advertise that but will burn once dropped below 4 ohms. I say ask where ever you are purchasing it and make sure if you bridge both front and back that it will be ok running 2 ohm mono. Once you bridge each channel, you will attach the sub as follows:

I know it sounds complicated as he##....and to be honest if you are only using this amp for subs, why dont you get a 2 channel or mono channel amp that is for sure stable at at least 2 ohms? Just a thought. 4 channel amps are good for connecting front and rear full range speakers, or a single medium powered sub and 2 full range speakers. Just food for thought.
