Intermittent "vacuum cleaner" sound from engine V6

This came back today but it usually shows up during summer temps, I'll be stopped and hit the gas and a low pitched whir sound that is rpm sensative follows the rpm of the engine? Almostsound like a vacuum cleaner on low that increases with the rpm, it only makes the sound at low rpm and starts from rest as at a light or stop sign, the sound goes away on the highway or high rpms?

you sure your not confusing the sound from the radiator fan to be that??

its most likely the sound of radiator fan.

Was your A/C on? If it was and you got that sound its most likely normal since the fan stops and goes.

if it's a higher pitched whine, check your belts for cracks
