Sealed vs. serviceable struts

Hey fellas,

I did a search and could not find anything on the difference between sealed and serviceable struts. I am giong to order some Tokico Blue struts for my gen 2 and needed to know what type of strut I needed to be able to insert my Intrax lowering springs in them. Thanks.

Yeah, I have sealed struts on my cam. KYB makes sealed struts. I was planning to purchase them.

What exactly are you trying to point out?

91camryDX said that he was looking at buying some Tokico blue struts. you told him that he needs sealed struts. tokico dont make sealed struts, (not for our car AFAIK). i was trying to point out the fact that you only mentioned he had sealed struts, yet you have no idea whether his car has sealed or serviceable. what i'm trying to point out is that gen2's have both strut types. there's no point telling him that he needs sealed struts if his car has serviceable struts is there

91camryDX check what type of strut u have....look at the FAQ link that is posted above to determine which u have mate. if u have serviceable, get tokico cartridges, else do what userlain is going to and get KYB sealed struts.
