Wheels??? 16x7 or 16x7.5 ???

I'm in the market for a set of rims for the Camry...
I would like to run 16x7 or 16x7.5 but I need some fat lip and a good offset so I could run flush when shes slammed... Anyone out there knows what offset is good to run on our Gen3's ??? The problem here is I'll be running 225 or 235 series drag radials ... And this is going to post a problem because they bulge out alot... I might end up running a +35mm and do a rear fender modifications... Opinions, ideas, and comments pls...

I was wondering the same thing, although I don't plan on running slicks.

I was trying to find some 16x8's, but that seems impossible.

i totally agree with UfoZ8myCow's suggestions. Is the reason youre going with 16s the weight saving and to run drag tyres?
i dunno but sounds like there could be a chance the rims will stick out with +35 ... around +40 should be fine with 225s. I will be going +42 with the gram lights 225/45

wraith b4 my car went int othe shop i went with 225s all around on 16x7 rims with a 38mm offset. The back rubbed slightly and the fronts just barely cleared the strut. I'll get you pics.

as you can see the fronts were pretty much flush with the fender.

Also 235s will have a bulged look on the 7" wide rims (225 was jsut right on the 7"), if you do 235 then def go with the 7.5" wide.

this is the reason why I should go with +35mm offset... +38mm offset is too close to the strut running big drag radials...

Allen: I'm looking for a set of rims for street use not for drag... For competition I'll be running a low offset in the front because I dont care about sticking out alot ( 255 or 275/50-15) And I'll be running a 8.5" drag rims for the slicks... The skinnies I'm only going to use in competition...

You might have to roll your fenders anyways for when you get those ridiculously wide HREs on there... Do you know what wheels you want to run for the drag radials? Werent you going to run like Mazda RX7 wheels as the rear skinnys?

that setup is for road racing bro... This car will never see the turns...

Looks like I'll be stuck with some Panasports C8-16 for my Camry...
these are what they look like ... except these are pics of 15". I'll be getting them in a 16x8 with a 35mm offset...

Too bad they dont make Work Emotions in 16x8 with a 35mm offset with a 5x114 bolt pattern...

Those are nice but not my taste ... The HRE's are going to be given to me by my hook ups... And only going to be used for shows... So she can look pretty and bling bling for the crowd...
