Crap on rotors after rain

After it rains, the rotors (all 4 of them) has a brown residue on them. It only occurs when it rains, and I have noticed it on a few other cars as well. Does anyone know what it is and whether it is a problem that needs to be fixed?

It's rust. It'll come off once you start driving the car and breaking as well. Don't worry about it.

It happens all the time when I was my car too. Don't worry it's not a big problem.

It's perfectly normal. As others have said, it's just light surface rust and comes right off after one or two light stops. If you have alloy wheels on your car and you wash it when your brakes are slightly warm, you can actually see the rust forming on the rotors by the time you dry off the car.

That used to happen to my braces after I brushed my teeth. It's no biggie, it'll go away.
