Brake light

A while back ago while cruising, my brake light came on and my cruise control stopped working. I checked all my fluid levels, just recently replaced the front rotors and pads (gogo 218,000 miles on the original rotors) so I know it can't be that. So my question is, is it the floor sensor? Will I pass inspection with the light on? Thanks in advance. I should mention it's the BRAKE light that's on the dash that is on.

My Gen 3 camry has the brake light before and at first i thought it was my parking brakes on so I make sure thats release but the light was still on...went away for awhile then one day my 3rd brake light went out after I took it out to get to the rear speakers, at the same time the brake light was on...I drove around a day or two without the 3rd brake light replace...finally I replace it and the brake light warning went off. Dont know if that helps but give it a try. Good luck!

blown rear lights for the car are indicated by a pic of the rear with bulbs at the end. BRAKE light (as what the thread started was asking) comes up when:
1. low brakepad (you need replacement, but you already did that???)
2. Low brakefluid (dot3+ will do, but i'm guessing you already tried that)
3. broken/worn out ABS sensors. I'm guessing here...maybe the people who did your install did not plug back your abs sensors?? or broke them? (cus they need to be supported, when changing anything down there..or else they WILL break - this all camry/solara owners need to tell the installer...they don't know).

No ABS, and did them myself with my brother with my trusty old haynes manual. I'm pretty sure it's the floor sensor, gonna call Toyota tomorrow and see if they'll check it out for no charge, if they wont I'll get down and dirty with her and figure it out.

You should. When I lived in SLC, my Accord passed inspection with brake and check engine lights on.
