Australia Strange Tyre Pressure

I just checked my tyre pressure today and it is at like 50-52psi (first time i checked it since i bought it).
the tyres are 16" Michelins, some as the SE tyres i believe.
i checked the tyres cold, this morning.....
according to my manual the pressure is ment to be 32psi rear, and 36psi front.
does Toyota intentionally put a massive psi in your tyres when you get a new car?

The place where I get my tires rotated once over-inflated all of mine, Their gauge must have malfunctioned. Always check cold.

Just imagine this, they hire a person for the lowest possible wage to do a deadhead job. It's simple economics. Lucky if you don't find boogers under the dash.

was after driving it or what it in the sun ??? Because the sun will raise the pressure in your tires

it was in the my garage in the morning before i started it......so it wasnt driven yet.
the tyres would have gone back to cold overnight

also i just noticed on the tyres it says "Max Pressure: 51psi"......
i am just wondering why Toyota will set the tyre pressure to Max?
ill ask them at my next service.
but i put them back to recommended pressure so everything is fine now i hope

Actually when the cars are shipped they're pretty high on pressure... one of the things things the dealers are supposed to do is reduce tire pressure and insert the body plugs that come with the car.
