I know that the speed chips that sell on ebay are probably not going to give me a power boost, but I ordered one without doing my research. Only problem is, it did not come with any instructions. I will send you $5 via paypal if you provide detailed instructions on how to hook a Speed Chip up to a 1999 Camry. I know it has something to do with the IAT sensor, but I do not know of its location. There is $5 waiting to whoever can provide me with instructions on how to hook it up. Email me at FiendAZ1@cox.net.
is this an actual chip or is it one of those resistors...those things are peices of shit...the resistor slidesinto you IAT sensor and basically tells your computer that it has all the air it needs...this can make your car run pretty lean...id be careful...good luck though...if it is one of those resistors...there is an Air intake temp reader that will hook into your MAP sensor...this is mounted onto your factory air cleaner box...the IAT sensor should kinda clip into the MAP sensor...take it off and you will see to bronze colored female shaped connections...slide each end of the resistor into them...thats it bro...you probably wont feel a damn thing just to let you know...if i had that in my car i wouldnt hit up WOT too much...
This is a properly chipped ECU:
A resistor can't do anything. If like they say a resistor can replay a piggy back computer, how come you're not using a resistor to surf the net? We don't even need a ECU, just replace it with a 2M ohm resistor and get 2Billion HP.
That musta hurt. Them resistor chip joints on eBay are a scam. Maybe I should get a thousand suckas paying me $2.00 a piece for a resistor. I'd get some mad change, no doubt. They just trying to screw people out they paper

WTF are you taking about? The IAT got NOTHING to do with the MAP. IAT on airbox, MAP at the end of intake manifold.
Just open the hood and throw the resistor in there. Where ever it lands, its the right spot.
Unichip installed, custom mapped, and dyno dynamics b4 and after is RRP $1200 AUD, now wheres my money, heck, wheres the car

Oooorrrrr you can give me until the New Year to post an SMT-6 install for 3vz-fe's.
It's basicaly a custom programmable Unichip. Same end level power of tuning... Until then I would highly suggest anyone with a 3vz-fe or earlier engine buying SAFC's Unichips, or any other type of ECU interface.
