a chip does that same thing except that it replaces a chip in the ECU instead of cuttin wires wires outside the ECU. but they both do close to the same thing except most piggyback units allow u to adjust the air/fuel ratio where as the chip has a set air/fuel map that it goes by to get u power

A chip can do more. Fuel map, ignition map, rev limit, speed limit.

Cool

A good piggyback...
100% user programmable in REAL TIME with MORE fucntions than a re-mapped chip can ever have, entierly seperate sets of settings. (say you want a performance set, and an entierly different slew of settings for economy. Or say one set tuned for 5psi, and another for 14psi) cheaper and they work better.

Chips are crappy... It's a one shot deal. 90% of them simply change values on NO BASIS or RELEVANCE to YOUR particular application. The other 10% must be custom mapped every single f'ing time you want something changed or added. Chips are just very annoying, and have no ability to scale with complex applications.

Good piggybacks always have the advantage!

I will post a "How to install an SMT-6 (and actually have it working!)" guide will be posted before the New Year.

Cool

I've been meaning to do that for six months, but have lacked all reasoning to get it working so people don't have to build electronic relays to get things like the timing working Since everyone is dieing for mods, and now SAFC's seem to be getting popular, and people are doing more projects... I might as well help out!
