Help removing part of rear seat.

I need to know how to remove the portion of the rear seat that doesn't normally fold down so that I can route a new cable assembly for my gas door. Does anyone know how to remove this part of the seat? It is the part of the backrest closest to the rear driverside door.

Thanks to anyone with help.

No because the bottom seat cushion does not obstruct the original cable route. But if it prevents the part of the seat back I mentioned earlier from coming out, then I'll remove it. The thing is though, the cable is routed pretty close to the door sills. It doesn't really go under the bottom seat cushion at all, it actually runs along the bottom seat cushion and then the cable sort of disappears behind the cushion that I initially inquired about removing.

It should lift straight up, Releases are near the front at the left and right seating areas. Pulls right out, that may give you what you need.

The bottom seat cushion should lift straight up? I'll try that and get back to you if it doesn't work.

Solved that problem, and I finished installing the cable sub assembly for my gas door release.
I've been staring at that damn gas door ajar for months now, and the dealership wanted some 300 dollars for labor and 30 for parts. Well I paid for the parts, and saved me some 300 bucks. Woot woot.

And yeah this was a 2002 camry. I forgot to mention that because a long long time ago I had a thread about how to install the cable, and I can go ahead and close that topic.
